Painting LA

Had a wonderful time painting with my husband and Frank Serrano, who are both very talented artists. Frank was nice enough to show us some of his favorite spots in LA. We painted all day at three locations. It was tiring, but so invigorating at the same time.

Top painting: 'LA River'
Bottom painting: 'Dead End'

Two fantastic paintings! Great mood and lighting.
Is the city scape in Chinatown (I recognize that street, I think)
And of course the LA wash bridge, one of my favorite subjects!
Well done.

Hi Joy,
I found your blogs through Pioneer Woman. What beautiful artwork! I have no background to base that on except that my grandmother was an artist. But I think they are just stunning. I love your drawings of people. They are fantastic. Well done.

Your work is really wonderful! My husband and I are both artists as well, so I felt an instant kinship toward you and your work. I will definitely be back to see more of your work. Thank you for contributing!

Really nice paintings! I especially like the 'Dead End', its composition and the light/atmosphere.

I just started a blog and the caption thing drove me crazy, too. For text below pics, when you post a new picture, under "Choose a Layout", select "None"; upload and add a return before text.

There's probably an easier solution, hope that helps. Happy painting!
